Hey, how do you get the biker dude focused while getting the sense of motion without it being too blurry? I was having a terrible time attempting to photograph my boy on a carousel last weekend! Anyway, cool pic, and I love the color/motion theme.

Mel, u focus on the subject and move your camera along the length of the motion of the subject and click at the same time.

Stan is right, Melanie. I looked through the camera and turned my body to match the speed of the bike as it went by. This keeps the bike in the same part of the frame while the shutter clicks.

You can do the same thing with a carousel. You just have to move your camera at the same speed as the carousel as the rider comes around. Takes some practice.

Thanks for the tips! I took about 502 pictures of that darn carousel, and the best I could capture are on my FB profile...I'll definitely try your trick next time.
